BUSAY FALLS!!

I am from Bicol but sad to say i haven't really explored some places there..It was good that my friends got interested to see my place. I was there a week ahead of them because of my mom's birthday.I just told them what bus are they going to take and when they are in legazpi ill be in constant communication with them.They boarded DLTB bus ( my first time to hear this company) in Pasay.I told them that they should get a ticket going to Tabaco. They( Moneth, Tin, Guian, and Tita Cora) left Pasay, Manila at around 8pm and were in Legazpi I think 8am also. I told them the towns that they'll pass through before getting in our place.They arrive in our place before 9am..I prepared pancit bato,tinapang bicol and rice for their breakfast..I allowed them to rest for an hour then we headed to Busay Falls of course with our baon ( porkchop inihaw, malunggay with pagi (stingray) cooked in coconut milk and rice). We rented a pedicab for 20pesos each and off we go!It's best time to be there at 11am because if its going to be early, it will be too cold even though its summer.

For all those years I have visited this falls I never dared to see the other 6 falls. By the way this falls consists of 7 - tiered of falls. This time, I want to see what they are talking about. At the side of this fall there's already a trail that you'll follow to reach the other falls. After lunch and some picture takings we decided to see it ourselves. We saw a boy around 10yrs. old and asked us if we want a guide,I readily said yes and asked how much.He did not give a fix price,he said its up to us. So,off we go!!The way to see the other falls is not easy.Its a little bit scary because you'll climb at the side of the mountain and the other side is a cliff.You must be extra careful thats why you need a guide to help you pull through. But once you see the 2nd falls..AHHHH!you'll be enthralled!!

Really!!!I was so captivated to see this..I never really though that this is so beautiful..As we approached the falls,you can see small version of falls and a shallow water with boulders on sides that it looks like jacuzzi. And the water is so clear..You cant help admire this place!!We stayed there longer and let the falls hypnotized us.There were a couple of groups and in fact we had to wait for our turn before we can take pictures.

The path going to the 3rd falls is somewhat flat and shady.

For what we saw is beautiful, we agreed to see the 3rd falls...The trek was the same so be extra careful..There was a point that I liked to turn my back because it was difficult to go further but I was so eager to see more!!I took a deep breath and extended my legs over that big and high rock..SUCCESS!!
Now its time to see the 3rd falls!!

There was a group of teenagers enjoying their swim as we arrived there. The area behind me (yes,thats me with guian) is a deep part. See that guy behind he's taking away rocks so it will be deep so they can dive.From there you can see and heard the splash of water from the 4th falls.We didn't  stay that long there.We decide to see the 4th falls since it is just a minute away.Actually you can go up there the rocks behind and that is where the 4th Falls is.And the walk is not that dangerous anymore.

And here I am!!!Our group was the only one here enjoying the pool area..hehe..So we took a lot of photos of this falls. The water is so clear and its not that cold (probably because we're wet the whole day already).And the part where the water falls is not deep,so you can have a massage.Best for swimming,since no other people around.Though, we enjoyed our stay there,we need to go down since it was already dark in that place maybe because the place was covered with trees so it seems like late in the afternoon already. By the way, it was only 3pm at that time, but we remembered that the pedicab will fetch us..So we bid goodbye to this enchanted place!!Going down for me is a little bit easier but you need a lot of control because you might slide all the way down. I had to go down with my butt,,haha..just to be sure!!

After that challenging adventure but it was all worth it!!

You can do this trip when you visit Albay, but allot a whole day here!!If you bring a car or van it is so easy to reach this place because the road is already cemented.The travel time from Legazpi will only take you an hour and 15 minutes.

How to get there?

From Legazpi, take a jeep , bus or van.Then tell the driver to drop you at the crossing of San Francisco and Sta. Teresa. From there you can take a pedicab. Just tell them that you will go to Busay Falls.Dont worry they are friendly people and it is a safe place.You can also ask the driver to get fetch you again because its hard to wait for a ride in going back to the high -way.

Fare is P20.00 ( jeep) and P50.00 (van)

Entrance Fee : P10.00

Fare going to Busay Falls P20.00 per head

Cottage fee P100.00 - P200.00 (depends on your haggling skills)

Tour guide fee - P100 - P150.00
